Insurance & Billing
Billing without guesswork
Kannon Health is designed to make the administrative side of vaccination clinics as simple and predictable as possible. As part of planning the clinic, we take a look at insurance coverage ahead of time so billing questions can be addressed before the clinic takes place.

Our goal is to reduce the burden on community team members while helping avoid surprises for residents and community teams.
How Billing works
For most on-site clinics:
-
We take a look at insurance coverage ahead of time so billing questions can be addressed before the clinic takes place

-
Billing is handled by Kannon Health, not the community

-
Communities are not expected to submit claims or manage insurer follow-up
Coverage and billing details can vary based on vaccine type, population served, and individual insurance plans. We’re happy to review what to expect for your specific setting.
Medicare & other insurance coverage
Many adult vaccines, especially those commonly offered to adults 65 and older, may be covered under Medicare or other insurance plans.

We are able to bill vaccines through Medicare Part B, Medicaid, most Medicare Part D plans, and certain Medicare Advantage and commercial medical plans, depending on the vaccine and individual coverage.
As part of clinic planning, we can help clarify:

-
Which vaccines are commonly covered
-
How billing may differ for residents versus team members
-
When out-of-pocket options may be appropriate

Coverage can vary, so each clinic is planned based on the population served and timing.
Out-of-pocket options
In some situations, out-of-pocket options may be appropriate, such as when a vaccine is not covered by insurance or when team members do not have active coverage.
When needed, we offer discounted cash pricing and work with communities to determine the most practical billing approach.
Depending on the situation:

-
Payment may be handled by the individual receiving the vaccine
-
An employer or organization may choose to cover the cost for team members
-
Payment can be collected on-site by credit card, or invoiced to the employer after the clinic

When out-of-pocket options apply, we communicate this clearly in advance so communities, residents, and team members understand how payment will be handled.
Documentation & Records
We maintain complete records for all vaccines administered
After the clinic, communities can receive organized summaries showing:
-
Who received each vaccine
-
Vaccine type, date administered, and related details
-
Clear lists that are easy to reference later
Records can be provided in PDF or Excel format, depending on your needs. This allows administrators and HR teams to easily track participation, respond to questions, and share information internally when needed.

Our documentation process is designed to support follow-up and reporting without adding extra work for your team.
Questions are welcome
Insurance coverage and billing vary, and we understand this is often one of the first areas communities want clarity on.

If you have questions about coverage expectations, team member participation, or billing logistics, you can submit a clinic inquiry at any time, and we’ll follow up to answer questions and outline next steps.
